If you are passionate about wireless communication system design and have experience in the software tools that help wireless engineers achieve their design goals, here is an exciting opportunity for you to become a product manager for MathWorks’ design and simulation products in the area of wireless communications.

As a Product Manager, you will utilize your technical background and industry experience, combined with your business acumen and judgment, to guide the roadmap and future direction of the products, explore market opportunities, and enable the field engineers and sales worldwide to achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities

This position requires technical background in wireless communication systems and wireless standards (LTE, WLAN, 5G, or Bluetooth, etc.) as well as ability to manage the business aspects of the products.

  • Interacting with customers to understand their workflow and requirement, identify business opportunities, and communicating your insights to your engineering team and executive team.

  • Monitoring and analyzing product performance, identifying opportunity for improvement and guiding engineering team with their release plan

  • Working with engineers, and business partners to analyze technology/market trends, connect innovation ideas with market opportunities, and develop multi-year product roadmaps.

  • Collaborating with marketing, and field teams to successfully launch your features.

  • Developing technical content for the products, such as application examples, product demonstrations, presentations, technical articles, videos).

  • Training and supporting customer facing engineers to drive revenue activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Background in wireless communication systems or components design (PHY & MAC); familiar with the workflow for design, implementation or testing of wireless communication systems

  • Proven experience in customer engagement

  • Solid skills in planning, project management and data analytics

  • Experience with software product management is desired

  • Knowledge in wireless communication standards such as 5G, LTE, WLAN, Bluetooth, or Satellite communication is a big plus

  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink is plus
