ManpowerGroup Production Operator (Polyester) - AM/PM 12hr shifts in Milwaukee, Massachusetts

What will you do as a Production Operator/Batch Operator?

As part of a team, you will manufacture and package a variety of products through staging, mixing, blending and packaging tasks. As a production operator at Bostik you will be in a batch making/mixer operator position for a competitive manufacturing organization.

Production Operator Duties:

  • Proficient with all Polyester equipment and is able to work independently.

  • Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot process equipment.

  • Provides leadership and training to operators on his/her shift.

  • Demonstrates the capability to make batch process adjustments based on in-process test results.

  • Follows written instructions and standard operating procedures to manufacture quality Polyester and Polyamide products.

  • Coordinate manufacturing schedule for all shifts and alert Lead Operator of schedule modifications, changes, and reasons.

  • Coordinate paperwork, work orders, batch sheets, and time cards daily /weekly.

  • Create operational procedures following the ISO 9000 format.

  • Support department manufacturing and processing operations as appropriate.

  • Insure manufacturing equipment is maintained and appropriate supplies are Inventoried and relay the need for reordering.

  • Assist management in maintaining a positive working environment.

  • Establish personal goals to support Bostik's manufacturing/quality mission.

  • Operates grinding and blending equipment when required.

  • Monitors Polyester distillate levels.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment; Prefer individual be familiar with Hot Melt Polyester resins, and manufacturing operations.

  • Forklift certification/experience desired

  • Ability to read and write English

  • Must be committed to the concepts of in-plant intermediate testing and preventive Maintenance.

  • Strong, logical decision making skills

  • Experience with time management and multitasking

  • Exhibit sense of ownership and accountability

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Adaptable, willing and interested to learn/do new things

  • Solid math skills; basic calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic percent's and fractions

  • Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills

  • Able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: lift up to 75 pounds as needed, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
