Waters Training and Development Specialist in Milford, Massachusetts
We are looking for a Training and Development Specialist to design, develop and deliver learning paths, where the goal is to provide training content suitable to support the learning journey of Waters Field Services Specialists world-wide.
Reporting to the Global Service Training Development Manager, the Training and Development specialist will be a key member of the Global Service Enablement Team, partnering with our Instructional Designers and other Subject Matter Experts to create and update Training Content.
Design and develop courses for Waters internal customers, and ensure associated blended learning activities enable customer success throughout the complete customer experience.
Deliver technical training courses to services personnel, evaluate and report on course attendees, and review and respond to attendees’ course assessments.
Assess training needs in terms of product, learner, and business requirements. Identify intended audiences, perform task analyses, and define learning objectives.
Participate in the Waters Product Development Process by creating training plans for new products, and act as an in-house advocate for field-based instructors.
Pilot new training programs by delivering courses to representative/intended audiences, and conduct train-the-trainer activities to enable field-based delivery.
Implement evaluation strategies for new courses. Continually monitor training effectiveness, and make improvements to prior work.
Foster constructive and cooperative working relationships with marketing, professional services, service support, and services engineering groups.
Comply with Waters Quality Systems, Good Laboratory Practices, and Environmental Health & Safety standards.
Represent Global Service Enablement by participating on Waters Global Services project teams
- BS/BSc or higher in analytical chemistry, biology, or related science; MS/MSc or PhD is beneficial.
5 + years experience specializing in LC systems in a technical or service role
Prior experience developing and/or delivering technical training courses is desirable
Prior Project management experience is desirable
High level of Waters LC system product knowledge
Partner with functional teams and Subject Matter Experts across the business to develop, pilot, deliver and maintain training content
Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
