Waters Software Manager in Milford, Massachusetts
This individual will have the overall responsibility and accountability for a team of Software Engineers, approximately 5-10 FTE as well as contractors. Responsibilities will include people management, project management, and occasional budgetary management.
This individual will report into the Senior Director of Software and will have direct and indirect reports in the organizational structure.
Responsible for working closely with other Directors of Software, Software Managers and Software Development partners both internally and externally. Key stakeholders include marketing, evaluation, customer service, manufacturing, sales and customers regarding technical support of their activities.
Must provide clear leadership and vision and motivate staff to achieve excellence as well as mentoring them as they develop new skills. Define and drive Key Performance indicators across all areas of the Software Engineering functions to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
Domestic and International travel is expected at <10%.
Lead LC Software Engineering teams based in Milford and Romania as well as contractors across the world.
Create and implement best practices vision, strategy, policies, processes along with procedures consistent with the overall LC/MS business vision. Improving business performance.
Ensure that strategies are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs to enable the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
Develop and support automated test infrastructure.
Develop and monitor objectives and key results aligned with the LC/MS Software engineering team as well as the broader organization.
Drive and motivate LC Software organization to deliver on time while developing teams required skills and maintaining morale.
Ability to manage multi-site software development. Team builder with demonstrated ability to lead, develop, motivate and set vision. Strong communication skills including the ability to interact with senior management. 10+ years experience in managing development teams.
