Waters Senior Design Quality Engineer in Milford, Massachusetts
This position is responsible for concurrent quality engineering activities associated with new product development and on-market design changes. Primary responsibility will be to handle quality engineering duties in software development: design controls, risk management, change control, post market review, quality planning, and establishment of appropriate requirements management and traceability.
The meaningful work you will be asked to do:
Assure new products exceed customer expectations and meet applicable standards by applying expert knowledge of quality principles and tools.
Supporting project team activities toward meeting NPD deliverables including requirements management, design reviews, design verification, design validation, design transfer to manufacturing, documentation completion tracking, and product release authorization for distribution of product.
Provide interpretation and guidance on industry best practice, standards, and regulations.
Identify product quality trends and translate this information into improved product designs.
Facilitate and participate in Root Cause Analysis of identified product and process deficiencies initiating system corrective actions as required.

Abilities that will help you to be successful.
Minimum of a BS in Engineering or Physical Science. Masters preferred.
In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar. Familiarity with ISO 13485, IVDD 98/79/EC, MDD 93/42/EEC preferred.
Six sigma or similar background in Root Cause Analysis, problem solving, PPAP, SPC and Continuous improvement.
Good technical writing and oral communication skills are required to ensure succinct report generation, and effective communication with staff, peer groups and across organization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems with minimal direction and make decisions with confidence.#LI-CB1
