Waters Program Manager, Market & Competitive Strategy for Sales Enablement (Remote) in Milford, Massachusetts

The Waters Global Sales Enablement team is seeking to hire a Program Manager who will lead sales enablement efforts for 2 market areas, and contribute to competitive strategy programs in LC, LCMS sales.

This expert will serve as a coach, instructor, content creator and thought leader on how to best sell into their primary markets. The Program Manager will help drive the initiative to focus sales strategy on value based selling to improve Customer outcomes.

  • Research competitor’s capabilities, strategy and behavior in LC, LCMS sales to develop competitive response actions. Partner with the field and segment marketing to gather competitive insights. Develop an ongoing series of Market-specific competitive sales plays. Teach and coach competitive sales plays. Help regional sales teams adjust plays for local differences.

  • Be accountable for developing and delivering a complete curriculum on how to sell into 2 of the following markets: Food & Environmental, Pharmaceutical, BioPharmaceutical or Chemical Materials

  • Partner with global segment marketing teams and regional field marketing experts to create or enhance sales training materials about the markets.

  • Utilize sales and market background to serve as sales strategy expert in partnership with market experts in a joint coaching of sales strategy to help sales develop Customer focused solution and progress active opportunities through the sales process.

  • Serve as an instructor and/or facilitator with other subject matter expert (SME) instructors for new hire sales training and training of tenured sales professionals

  • Create Train-The-Trainer materials and prepare other instructors in other global geographies

  • BS/BA in Science required, MS preferred, PhD desirable

  • Life sciences sales experience required, prefer experience selling LC/MS solutions

  • Strong experience in training, coaching or production lab use of LC, LCMS instruments.

  • Minimum 8 years work experience

  • Prefer extensive lab experience using LC/MS instruments and informatics software in food, environmental, material sciences or Pharma QC.

  • Previous experience as a user or employee of a top Waters competitor in LC,LCMS industry a plus.

  • Demonstrated Project Management experience

  • Ability to influence, coach and manage work product quality of people who are not direct reports

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Strong content development skills

  • Engaging Presenter, in-person and through virtual mediums

  • Excellent skills in synthesis – pulling together bits of information from many sources, organizing and reducing the complexity for easy consumption by a sales audience

  • Creativity in mechanisms to engage and motivate highly educated, tenured sales teams
