PHC North America Technical Sales Product Specialist in Massachusetts

The Product Specialist will actively perform sales activities and be responsible for the sales and product management of the live cell metabolic analyzers, Cell sorters and related equipment. Liaise with and support customers regarding the applications of the product. Selling and assisting in the development and launch of new cell-based products, providing sales and application support and other product activities as required. Traveling is an important part (50% of the time) of the job. He/she is responsible for and the face of this product range.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Developing product strategies to achieve the defined objectives;
Execute sales activities;
Supporting customers and the sales network with product related issues. This includes follow-up with customers and/or sales team to address concerns and questions;
Strategic customer visits with sales teams and distributors in a defined US territory;
Liaising with product development Japan and supporting the development of technical related solutions to improve overall product satisfaction;
Informing your target group about the products in your portfolio, with regard to effectiveness, safety, price-quality ratios and other (medical scientific) advantages, often in comparison with similar products and the competition;
Performing market analyses for the purpose of successful product and market development;
Carrying out and interpreting competition analyses to strengthen and position products in the market;
Developing and providing product training courses;
Responsible for product management for this product line.
Active cooperation with colleagues within the company (Product Management/Sales/Marketing/Service).
Co-conceive, set-up and execute medical, marketing and sales projects to increase market share and customer satisfaction.
Daily support and assistance of customers regarding product related questions.
Identifying and communicating emerging trends of customers, products, markets and competitors.
Visiting (international) trade fairs, seminars and conferences to support sales and to obtain information on products, markets and competitors.
General management, compiling databases and preparing reports.
Qualifications
Master degree in Life Science is required (Cell or Molecular Biology)
Experience with cell culture is highly preferred.
Marketing (or similar commercial degree) degree is preferred;
Experience with live cell metabolic analyzers is recommended;
Ability to organize, analyze, summarize and present product competently;
Must be able to multitask and have good customer service and communication skills;
Very good written and spoken knowledge of the English language;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
Ability to work independently and accurately, able to set priorities;
Commercial and customer-oriented attitude;
A pro-active and customer-first approach
Being creative in finding solutions, having a commercial, flexible and result-oriented attitude
Able to travel frequently internationally
Working conditions
Up to 25-30% overnight travel
Normal office conditions.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
