Citizens First Line Risk Sr Manager in Massachusetts
The purpose of this role is to support the Director, FLR in carrying out the duties of the FLR function (within CSI, High Net Worth, and CCPW). The role will handle coordination of the FLR function with business partners, compliance, internal audit, and external regulators. The SRM partners with business unit management to oversee and manage all aspects of risk and assess, on an ongoing basis, the material risks associated with its activities, determining if actions need to be taken to strengthen controls or reduce risk given performance against the business unit’s risk profile and tolerances. Responsible for developing and maintaining an effective end-to-end risk management program including control effectiveness measures for one or more complex segments of the business /capability groups and client and industry infrastructure. Serves as a technical expert on multiple business processes or regulatory areas impacting the business.
Perform Annual Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), regulation and control inventories, Targeted Risk Assessments (TRA)
Provide day to day support to the business unit(s) providing knowledge and expertise on the appropriate implementation of Regulations, Rules and industry standards through procedures, other guidelines, and industry best practices
Provide regulatory expertise and solutions on complex risk and compliance issues based upon understanding of business unit's activities and products
Acts as technical expert on one or more business processes or regulatory areas impacting the business
Work with other FLU Risk Managers on key initiatives within Wealth Management
Work directly with FLU Risk Director and Senior Risk Director on various projects and initiatives
Primary interaction with Internal Audit and external examiners. Issue management
Five years experience in financial services in a Risk, Compliance, or Supervision function
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), as well as strong analytical skills
FINRA Series 7 & 24 preferred (willing to take exam(s) after hire)
Bachelors' degree required; advanced degree preferred
