About the role

As a Privacy Analyst II, you will be involved in the review of digital products for consumer and internal users, to ensure proper privacy controls for low to medium risk efforts. Through your analysis you will be delivering guidance to ensure experiences are consistent with Converse privacy principles. You will be encouraging privacy best practices through consistent analysis, feedback, and follow-through with product and engineering teams. You may also be monitoring remediation activities with guidance from more senior analysts. You will manage intake for the team and contribute to team process improvements. You will attend meetings, monitor systems, review documents, and liaise with other team members of the broader Nike’s Global Privacy team to maintain a portfolio of development efforts requiring privacy engagement. You will be representing Converse’s Privacy team in day-to-day activities with Converse business, legal, digital, and technology stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree, or other degree focusing on the intersection of technology and policy, with 3 years relevant professional experience in the field of privacy accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • 1-year professional experience implementing privacy and/or compliance requirements into business practices/processes/procedures and/or conducting privacy, operational, and/or technology risk or compliance reviews, preferably within a consumer products, retail, digital, or technology setting.

  • Some knowledge of global privacy principles and regulations and/or industry-wide security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g. Privacy Shield, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.) and/or project management experience preferred. CIPP Certification optional.

  • Some understanding of technology development processes, systems development lifecycle methodologies, and data and information flows associated with business and operational systems that manage consumer and employee data.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations to internal clients and technology teams on how to effectively resolve problems or issues, using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or governmental law as applicable as well as issue spot for areas of technical difficulty that could undermine privacy compliance.

  • Ability to communicate with internal clients and stakeholders regarding the importance of privacy as a business differentiator and core value provided to consumers beyond legal compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good relationships through effective communication with a proven ability to drive initiatives across the organization.

  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively in a fast-paced business environment, where willingness to learn and adapt is critical. Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well with geographically dispersed privacy teams and business clients. Outstanding team player with a positive attitude. Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation.
