What you’ll achieve

Dell Technologies’ Revenue Accounting organization seeks a Consultant Accountant to join their Complex Revenue Accounting team.This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a global team engaged on a wide range of accounting topics.In this role, you will be responsible for compiling Dell's RPO disclosure, apply accounting guidance to complex deals as well as assist in the monthly close process.We are looking for an experienced professional who is comfortable in both the technical and operational side of revenue accounting.

You will:

  • Lead the preparation of Dell Technologies UPO disclosure including the refinement of processes and judgements to ensure compliance with ASC606

  • Drive organizational initiatives across the global team

  • Assist with large deal reviews to assess adjustments required for compliance with accounting guidance

  • Participate in the monthly close process

Essential Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, CPA preferred

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Executive presence skills

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Requirements

  • Sense of urgency. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • US GAAP knowledge with a preference for revenue recognition experience

  • Must demonstrate customer focus, attention to detail, ability to deal with ambiguity, and be a team player and self-starter

  • Previous SAP or Oracle experience is an advantage
