The Logistics team develops the software and systems that keeps the freight moving in order to support the growing business. They will assist in the analysis of the business processes, refine requirements/new features, and help in testing and delivering these features to support our Logistics business.
Staff Product Owner is Responsible for defining Team Product Backlog of User Stories including backlog prioritization, refinement, and creation of acceptance criteria along with agreed upon definition of done. Has the foundational knowledge of SAFe principles, Kanban, and Scrum including embracing agile principles and applying lean agile mindset. Demonstrates knowledge of critical thinking skills like analytical, problem solving, open-minded, creativity, etc. They have a Product/Domain knowledge that guides, informs, and provides insight on what product enhancements, maintenance, and efficiencies are needed. Product Owners at this level can support the delivery of assigned Product Increment (PI) objectives. They can be assigned to a maximum of one agile team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for defining Team Product Backlog of User Stories including backlog prioritization, refinement, and creation of acceptance criteria along with agreed upon definition of done. Has autonomy to make decisions around the team backlog
Partner with the Product Manager to understand priorities and PI features and supports driving the Product Increment (PI) objective at the Team Level
May partner with a Staff PO for optimal PI feature allocation approach
Drives Iteration Goals and content via prioritized user stories
Product/Domain knowledge that guides, informs, and provides insight on what product enhancements, maintenance and efficiencies/remediation are needed
Ensures the technical integrity of the solution
Product decision maker including Functional and NFRs; accepts User Stories and Iteration Increments
Conducts impact analysis for optimal product delivery, industry trends etc.
Contributor to the Vision, Roadmap and ROI; ensures the team’s backlog aligns to the roadmap
Acts as the Customer for Teams including being the liaison between the business and team
Ensures team risks and dependencies are identified and managed
Collaborates with the System Architect to prioritize Enablers
Stakeholder management; Accountable for identifying and manage risks, scope trade-offs, and timeline impacts
Collaborator of dependencies with the team, Product Mgr and other teams for optimal delivery outcomes
Use of metrics to assess team progress and areas for improvement
Leverage various Agile processes such as Story and Value Stream Mapping and Estimating using Fibonacci scale
Leverage Agile planning tools
Supports DevOps and Security best practices
Instrumental role in the preparation of the system demo as well as producing the system demo
Attends and actively participates in Release Train Ceremonies: PI Planning, System Demo, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt when part of an ART.
Attends and actively participates in Team Agile Ceremonies
Ensures feedback from System Demos Retrospectives and I&A workshops are taken back to teams for possible inclusion in future continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent IT Delivery skillset / training / experience
5-7 years of related experience and/or working in an agile environment
Proven ability of analyzing complex cross functional business process and defining integrated user stories using industry standard techniques
Proven ability of managing dependencies and shifting priorities in and across sprints and releases
Strong verbal and written communication skills, tailoring to audiences
Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations
Ability to drive conversations with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of agile methodology, techniques, frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) and agile tools (such as Jira and Confluence)
Experience of working as part of an Agile Release Train and participating in ART and Scrum Team Ceremonies
Experience in the Transportation/Logistics field
Knowledge and experience with Logistics applications (i.e. Blue Yonder/JDA)
Familiarity with the retail industry & best practices
Experience working with vendors and 3rd party solutions
