General Electric Supply Chain PET Operations Leader Americas in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Role Summary:

To manage and expand the manufacturing network required for PET radiopharmaceutical products within the Life Sciences Global Supply Chain in the Americas region (US, Canada and South America). The expansion projects will generally be initiated to increase our geographical reach for existing products or to introduce new products to our network in support of our global strategy. The outsourced manufacturing capability includes scheduling, contract relationships and operating/financial metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 To manage, or participate in as appropriate, operational mechanisms such as change control, financial reporting, training, quality reviews etc.

From an operational perspective the job holder's scope of involvement includes management of a network of contract manufacturing sites by ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to monitor contract performance, ensure change control, and liaise over supply scheduling.

The geographical location of manufacturing sites will require travel and implementation primarily within the Americas region with travel to other parts of the world as required. The job holder needs to interpret the local regulatory, commercial and manufacturing requirements and this will involve liaison with expert staff from the appropriate functions and regions.

  1. To direct and deliver expansion portfolio of projects against agreed upon timelines, cost and quality parameters. This is achieved through the execution of key project management principles so that there are commonly understood and agreed roles, responsibilities and goals for each component/subsidiary part of the project(s).

  2. To interface regularly with Commercial, Clinical (NPD) and other functional partners to ensure early engagement in new business/product opportunities and to share project progress information in order to align groups around common project and operational performance metrics.

  3. To actively contribute to the development of project, supply chain and business strategy, for example new product go-to-market strategy.

  4. To interpret information from the manufacturing network and technical specialists and put this into context in order to ensure that projects and operational deliverables are carried forward on a sound technical basis.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree with 5 years of operations experience or High School diploma with 10 years operations

  2. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams

  3. Strong Interpersonal Skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of our business in an easy to understand manner

  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills

  5. Ability to identify and implement Best Practices

  6. Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity

  7. Working knowledge of Six Sigma quality improvement techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or Masters in Engineering or Operations

  2. Experience in the Healthcare industry

  3. Strong leadership skills

  4. Black Belt certified

  5. Lean expertise

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization

  7. Demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization
