What you’ll do

  • The Supplier Capability Engineer will provide leadership and technical direction for the supplier selection process.

  • Provide leadership and support to NPI programs and the resulting supplier development activities.

  • Identify areas of supplier capacity risk through the execution of capacity audits.

  • Lead high visibility or critical qualification of suppliers.

  • Lead and/or support the generation and execution of part qualification plans.

  • Support and/or lead challenging RCA/CAPA activities with suppliers.

  • Promote technical excellence, supporting teams through technical challenges and lead special projects with key suppliers.

  • Support and guide colleagues with training, deployment and ongoing utilization of best practices for quality improvement and supplier development.

  • Develop standard work instructions and/or processes to streamline SQE activities.

  • Effectively communicate technical, regulatory and compliance aspects of supplier selection activities throughout the organization.

Who you are

  • Bachelors degree or advanced degree in an engineering or science discipline

  • Experience in product development and industrialization

  • Expertise in design and manufacturing processes in technologies such as injection molded plastics, extrusions, films, tubing, electronic assemblies, sensors (process & design capability)

  • Exceptional skills in problem solving, root cause analysis

  • Strong ability to lead and influence others

  • Proven experience with Quality Management System tools and continuous improvement methodologies

  • In-depth understanding of Cytiva products and related processes

  • Expert-level experience with supplier audits, including planning, execution and follow-up

  • Hands-on experience in a quality role, with understanding of quality systems deployment and detailed knowledge of ISO13485

  • Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across organizations

  • Ability to analyze complex data and determine actions to drive continuous improvement

  • Established in communicating and teaching best practices

  • Extensive experience analyzing manufacturing capacity and developing plans for capacity improvements

  • Demonstrated expertise to effectively execute and communicate within all levels of the organization on design control, design verification and validation activities, production and process controls, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), complaints and risk management, and product quality improvement tools such as Six-Sigma, DFR, PFMEA, etc.

  • Strong ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate and implement a strategy to ensure compliance

  • Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Desire and ability to travel 30% of the time

  • Proactive, self-driven, results seeking and enthusiastic intensity
