The SPY-6 Backend Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for the Production, manufacture, and development of the SPY-6 Radar Backend. The radar Backend includes Power, Cooling, and Processing Subsystems. The Backend IPT Lead will interface to Navy leadership, Customer Subject Matter Experts, and Suppliers as well as lead the 50+ cross functional Backend IPT Team including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply chain.

Responsible for Backend production & delivery of SPY-6(V)1, (V)2, (V3) Subsystems
Design and development of obsolete Processing and Power subsystems.
Responsible for managing / staffing the 50+ Backend IPT Engineering Team
Responsible for managing the $340M SPY-6 Backend IPT Budget across multiple programs
Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs.
Interface with the Navy customer community on a regular basis to share SPY-6 status, issues, and address technical and programmatic concerns.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
This position requires up to 25% domestic travel
This position requires a current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications you must have:
U.S. Citizenship is required
Active/Current US Secret Security Clearance
12+ years prior relevant work experience
10+ years in Managing a Hardware or System Engineering Team and Budget
Proven experience working with and providing status to customers
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
Qualifications we value:
20+ years in Managing a HW Engineering Team / Budget
Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle
Demonstrated excellence in past work performance
Technically oriented, Self-Starter with the ability to independently pursue information
Level 2 Earned Value Certification
Advance Degree in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
