Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an M&A professional with experience in market and competitive intelligence, post-merger integration, divestitures, business transformation and change management. This role will be responsible for M&A strategy inputs and execution supporting business leadership in delivering value across the M&A process continuum. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to translate market and financial information into insights and actionable operational activities, efficiently manage cross-functional projects, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, simultaneously manage multiple active projects, and deliver work products in situations that have some level of ambiguity. This position may require 25-50% global travel as required by projects.

Market Intelligence:

  • Partner with market & competitive intelligence, business and functional teams to conduct analyses, derive insights and communicate across the organization on macroenvironmental and economic factors and their impact on Hologic, particularly in advance of events, earnings, etc.

  • Manage Corporate Strategy & Development programs, processes and events, including external events, i.e. JP Morgan.

  • Support Corporate Strategy & Development leaders in executing on Global Portfolio Management, Market Analytics and M&A Execution programs and processes.

Due Diligence:

  • Build playbooks, tools and processes to establish best-in-class M&A Management & Execution capabilities across Hologic businesses, functions and regions

  • Partner with business development teams to drive a thorough and efficient cross-functional due diligence process and governance structure for decision-making for the project

  • Identify and validate the critical value drivers of potential acquisition targets

  • Collaborate with business and functional teams to define risks to the standalone business and those arising post-acquisition as well as mitigation plans to minimize / eliminate the risk to the value creation of the deal

Integration Planning:

  • Collaborate with business leadership to define an integration strategy which reflects the operational requirements to deliver on the value proposition of the deal and clearly articulate the strategy across cross-functional diligence / integration planning team

  • Partner with business team to define the interim operating model for the newly acquired business to ensure value creation targets are met

  • Partner with functional teams to develop and refine detailed functional integration work plans which incorporate required risk mitigation activities

  • Partner with business development / finance teams to identify synergies and investments required to support value creation for incorporation into the deal model

  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies to ensure value creation milestones are similarly reflected in integration plans

Integration Execution:

  • Support Business Integration Lead in integration / value creation execution by providing program management expertise, ensuring project objectives are met within the constraints of project scope, time, cost and quality

  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings / workshops to support decision making, clearly define dependencies and align stakeholders

  • Ensure proper governance structure that will drive efficient decision making / risk escalation is in place post-acquisition

  • Partner with the Business Integration Lead to identify and secure necessary resources to effectively execute the value creation plan

  • Actively manage risks including issue escalation and resolution

  • Conduct post project implementation reviews to document lessons learned and provide to organization to update applicable methodology, tools, templates

  • Resolves conflicts and escalates issues in an effective manner

Skills & Experience

This person is a self-motivated individual with excellent team leadership and communication skills who possesses:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent

  • 7-10 years of M&A Integration or Transformation experience with a history of successfully delivering on project plans

  • A demonstrated history of successfully delivering results as a program manager

  • Proven ability to navigate a matrixed organization structure

  • Proven ability to develop strong business partnership capability with confidence in influencing and building followership

  • Proven ability to hold others accountable without authority

  • Experience in managing multiple complex projects in parallel

Our Offer

The annualized base salary range for this role is $123,400 to $205,700 and it is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
