Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to perform duties at a work center with an emphasis on communications products. The primary work product is the complete digital design of a PCB from inception through layout and assembly. Responsibilities include the ability to follow hardware design requirements, observe design checklists, adhere to accepted processes, prepare design documentation and work within a team environment.

This position is eligible for relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities: • Part selection and Bill of Materials/Parts List (BOM/PL) creation • Schematic capture, component placement • Setting routing constraints & design rules • Routing & Gerber/ODB++ validation • Timing, power, and signal integrity analysis • Generation of design documentation including Test Requirements & Design Memos • Design verification and troubleshooting

Qualifications/Experience Needed: • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed signal high speed Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) • Schematic capture experience using Siemens/Mentor Graphics or equivalent • Lab experience including test set-up, design verification and troubleshooting • Understanding high power signal placement & routing rules • Conversant with PCB Drawings, various PCB output file formats • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Tool Suite • Effective communication and writing skills • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience • Ability to Obtain a SECRET Security Clearance or HIGHER

Security Clearance: • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Siemen's Xpedition Design Tools is preferred • Knowledgeable of IPC Standards for PCB Design and Fabrication • Experience with bench level testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing test results • Knowledgeable of IEEE, MIL standards • Data/Library Management tools • Configuration Management tools

Employee Referral Eligible

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
