Aspen Aerogels, Inc. Product Marketing Manager - Energy Infrastructure in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Aspen Aerogels is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. Aspen’s extensive portfolio of proprietary aerogel products are manufactured at scale and sold worldwide in the Electric Vehicle, Energy Infrastructure, Sustainable Building Materials, and Power Generation industries. Aspen is a Tier 1/2 Automotive supplier of PyroThin™ thermal barriers, and our Pyrogel™ and Cryogel™ products are used by virtually all leading petrochemical and refining company across more than 50 countries. This position is charged with assessing and developing market opportunities, target markets, and business development tools. This position is also responsible for the management, maintenance, and as necessary the redesign of corporate image, and corporate and marketing communications materials. Additional responsibilities include design, preparation and execution of exhibitions, trade shows, industry conference events etc. The Product Marketing Manager will have strong interpersonal skills, experience in strategic relationship development and early-phase commercial development.


  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities globally.

  • Create and publish marketing material in line with marketing plans.

  • Liaise with digital marketing to devise, plan and report on lead generation campaigns including paid and unpaid promotions across a range of platforms.

  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.

  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.

  • Assume overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.

  • Contribute to the development, validation and communication of value proposition for Company products and services.

  • Prepare competitive intelligence briefings.

  • Coordinate weekly status calls (internal and external).

  • Maintain internal knowledge bases.

  • Develop insights on campaigns and results.

  • Develop and maintain marketing materials.

  • Website, datasheets and brochures, Company literature, product literature, and hang tags.

  • Develop and maintain Company image.

  • Company logo, advertisements, press releases, press relations, publications

  • Adopt and follow Aspen’s core values of Safety, Quality, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer and Innovation on both personal and professional level.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in Technical Sales, Product Marketing, Product Development or other marketing related roles.

  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong technical background preferred.

  • Experience analyzing potential strategic partner relationships for Company marketing.

  • Experience in product marketing, product development, or general marketing related roles.

  • Experience working directly with sales teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communication orally or in written form with internal and external customers.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of time.

  • Experience with industrial or building insulation products, preferred.

  • Candidate should be able to show proven performance in product marketing through experience with specific example of success.

  • Demonstrated project/program management skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Marketing or Engineering from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA a plus.

  • Computer skills required: MS Office, Hubspot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Adobe suite production skills including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition.
