Galvion Material Handling Intern in Marlborough, Massachusetts

The Material Handling intern will be tasked with improving all processes related to material flow, from the point of receiving all the way through shipping. They will look to create improve efficiencies, minimizing the number of transactions, and increasing the use of visual aids.

This paid internship has a start date of mid-May 2023 and ends in mid-late August 2023.

Job Responsibilities:

About the role - you'll need to:

  • Create a process flow map for materials from the point of receiving through shipping.

  • Create visual aids to simplify material identification.

  • Reconfigure the inventory cage improving product specific location and ease of locating items.

  • Review SOPs and identify and gaps based on process analysis.

Required Skills:

About you - you'll need:

  • Current pursuing a degree in a business-related discipline.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

  • Proficient use of Microsoft office suite, specifically Excel and Visio.

  • Ability to work with a team and be an enthusiastic team player
