Sunovion Director Business Insight Partner - Market Access in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Director, Business Insights Partner - Market Access to join our Commercial organization in Marlborough, MA.

The Director Business Insight Partners - Market Access will be responsible for working within all areas with Market Access to ensure strategy and execution is built on a 360-degree analytics and insight approach and is externally focused and data driven. Is a "hands on" partner (not just a coordinator) who generates and synthesizes market access insights, acts as a strategic thought-partner who identifies key business issues / trends / shifting dynamics in the market, and helps develop / test hypotheses on how to capitalize on the evolution of these critical contingencies. Leads business planning on behalf of the Market Access team, orchestrating KPI development, performance monitoring and measurement, business reviews, and collaborates cross-functionally to identify and action against opportunities and risks. Collaborates closely with other Business Insight Partners and the CADI teams to translate disparate data into meaningful findings for the Commercial Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert with regards to the marketplace and Market Access dynamics for the organization

  • Understands, translates, and interprets analtyics and business intelligence into insights used to develop strategic plans & executional plans

  • Informs and educates on optimal approaches and considerations, asks and challenges the current thinking

  • In partnership with the Market Access team, orchestrates business planning, including KPI development, business reviews, and risk and opportunity identification & planning

  • Synthesizes complex and diverse information, recognizes trends and/or interrelationships around patients, markets, stakeholders, partners, competitors and brands

  • Provides recommendations based upon future-oriented insights and opportunities

  • Efficiently and effectively partners with the function related Business Insight Partners and other CADI teams to procure the required analytics, data and operational services, when needed

  • Ensures strategy and execution is built on a 360-degree analytics approach, is externally focused, and data driven

Essential Functions:

  • Work directly with Market Access teams - MA Marketing, Strategic Pricing & Contracting teams, MA Strategy, MA Engagement Operations, and MA Sales - Contract Operations, Commercial Information & Government Pricing Teams as the thought partner / strategic advisor by partnering on the creation, execution and performance of market access strategies and tactics.

  • Proactively identify, frame and prioritize key business issues / market trends for brands of focus and develops the path forward in addressing these that either support/disprove proposed hypotheses including exploration (what can be learned) and synthesizing/drawing conclusions to share with the team.

  • Leads business planning on behalf of the Market Access team, orchestrating KPI development, performance monitoring and management, business reviews, and collaborating cross-functionally to identify and action against opportunities and risks.

  • Communicates findings from business intelligence and data analysis to relevant stakeholders across the organization, informing downstream and upstream.

  • Support business needs in a timely and efficient manner demonstrating a sense of urgency, tenacity, and commitment to quality and excellence.

  • Ensures that corporate standards of excellence and compliance are upheld and performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policies and procedures. Immediately reports noted/observed violations to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards at all times in order to main Sunovion's excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Bachelors' Degree required; Master's Degree preferred / 10+ years

  • Ten plus (10+) years in the Pharmaceutical Industry, with 5+ years' experience in consulting-type activities with strong commercial experience in Marketing, Sales or Market Access

  • 5+ years in analytics, insights, reporting data required or equivalent experience strongly desired, specifically in Market Access related CADI activities (primary market research, secondary data performance & reporting, payer/market access analytics, forecasting)

  • Demonstrated strategic and business acumen with strong learning agility

  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy while balancing multiple priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the Commercial Organization

  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional matrixed environment and seek diverse perspectives

  • Strong professional presence, effective communication, presentation, influence, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability in partnering skills and influencing without authority

  • Due to the responsibility of the role, knowledge / direct experience of overall Market Access & Reimbursement strongly preferred
