We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Analyst to join our team! You will be responsible for collaborating in the design, development, implementation and support of all compliance programs, both at the corporate and business unit level for the company.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate in the formulation of policies, guidelines, strategic plans, programs, standards, and techniques necessary to carry out specific objectives and assist in drafting compliance policies and procedures

  • Aid in the research of compliance issues and provide concise timely technical responses to ensure compliance and business objectives are being met; respond to routine compliance-related requests and inquiries from the various business areas

  • Research and review new, proposed and adopted statutes and regulations affecting our insurance product lines and any processes; summarize and effectively communicate impact of changes to affected business areas in the form of Compliance Alerts/Bulletins or emails

  • Assist in adopting/filing of state specific contract language, filing and negotiating for regulatory approval in the required jurisdictions and providing instructions for its use

  • Fulfill all regulatory reporting requirements to ensure timely responses are submitted to regulatory agencies

  • Research and manage the compliance implications of new products and enhancements as well as other corporate strategic initiatives

  • Maintain a database of compliance filings including the due dates and status of the filings; prepare reports on the status of filing projects for management personnel

  • Proactively work on compliance projects ensuring milestones are tracked and goals/deliverables are met

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2-3+ years' experience in a compliance area, preferably in a highly regulated industry

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication as well as interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and add value to the organization

  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multitask

  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently

  • Ability to think strategically about process enhancements; be able to embrace and manage change

  • Strong problem solving, decision-making, reporting and analytical skills. Must possess good judgment and work effectively with Insurance Departments and internal business areas
