    WHAT YOU’LL Do

    At TJX, the mission of theGlobal Compliance and Environmental Social Governance Organizationis to enable TJX’s ”license to operate” via solutions that pioneer ESG responsibility, diligent regulatory adherence and risk management. We are embarking on a multiyear journey to invest, develop, implement solutions, and deliver value that will support ourLegal, Compliance, ESG, Investor relations and Risk Managementglobal business partners.

    We are looking for aManager ofEngineeringwho will be accountable for the technical management, engineering health, and engineering talent management for the Global Compliance and ESG Organization. Thispeople leaderis expected to be well versed inDevSecOps and agilebest practices, familiar withmodern cloud-based solutionsin the Compliance and ESG domain area, andevangelize an engineering mindsetwithin the team to maximize business value. Your focus on coaching, mentoring, developing, and growing engineering talent on the team will bring our organization to new heights.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead engineers at varying levels of seniority in an agile environment.

  • Coaches, leads, and develops engineering talent

  • Set the talent approach for technical talent, anticipate demand and hire skilled engineering talent

  • Good understanding of new tooling, processes and best practice, staying aligned to industry trends.

  • Play a lead role in the Engineering community of practice, helping to shape and drive engineering best practice within the organization

  • Acts as an escalation point for issues related to delivery of technical components

  • Partners with Stakeholders to drive solutions to meet business needs.

  • Accountable for the end-to-end management and delivery of complex technical Epics, or technical aspects of larger Epics to achieve business outcomes that may span more than one product team or technical domain.

  • Partners with various leaders within IT as needed to forge key agreements around solution approaches / designs and operating principles.

  • Holds accountability for technical oversight whilst executing through skilled engineers, including spend, governance & decision making within the domain.

  • Accountable for creating and delivering an engineering roadmap for the assigned products, partnering with Business Stakeholders, LPM, Architecture and Product Management to ensure alignment to Product Roadmaps, Business Strategies and Architectural standards.

  • Actively drives the high level vision & architecture to drive engineering and operational excellence to ensure the products delivered and maintained meet SLA’s, KPI’s, NFR’s, compliance and engineering standards. Accountable for the product health of these products, and for delivering on Engineering & Operational targets and standards.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 3+ years leading and developing teams as a manager.

  • Experience as a technical lead on large full lifecycle implementations of SaaS and on-prem applications

  • Experience in agile methodology

  • Technical leader with extensive business facing experience, taking ideas from conception to implementation

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding and fluid environment, remains calm under pressure, and demonstrates excellent conflict management skills.

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work up and down the organization, able to influence others to achieve results.

  • Adept at delivering scalable, reliable, highly available and secure solutions.

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Compliance and ESG software and tools

  • Knowledge of middleware such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft

  • Cloud experience (Azure, AWS)

  • Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. Jenkins)
