A Quality Engineer is needed for a world leader in medical devices that seeks to offer innovative solutions in neurosurgery, and reconstructive and general surgery in the Mansfield, MA area. The Senior Quality Engineer ensures product and process quality throughout the lifecycle by leveraging quality engineering principles, managing nonconformances, conducting audits, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and mentoring team members.

responsibilities:

• Support quality improvement initiatives, including process and product characterizations to drive continuous and cost improvements.

• Develop, interpret, and implement process monitoring and control methods based on risk levels.

• Conduct internal and supplier audits per ISO-1385 and/or 21CFR820 standards.

• Apply product/process risk management strategies aligned with FDA and ISO standards.

• Implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

• Escalate quality issues as necessary.

• Analyze and review the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions.

• Provide mentorship and supervision to engineers and technicians.

• Take accountability for special projects outside of standard duties as needed.

Skills:

• Manufacturing/operations experience.

• In-depth knowledge of product/process risk management (FDA and ISO standards).

• Proven track record of implementing risk mitigation strategies.

• Advanced expertise in quality tools, process improvements, and documentation practices.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience.

• Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.

• Doctoral degree with 3+ years of experience.
