Position Summary

Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair on test and measurement equipment. Support Quality System compliance and EHS for Performance Fibers business (Coventry and Mansfield sites).

Principal Responsibilities

Calibration:

• Perform test and measurement equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs.

• Assist in implementing the software to manage the calibration system.

• Management of test and measurement equipment inventory.

• Maintain compliance with calibration requirements outlined in ISO 13485:2016.

• Maintain calibration records.

• Coordinate calibrations performed by outside vendors and ensure calibrations performed by vendors are accurate.

• Ensure existing and new equipment has calibration requirements defined.

• Communicate calibration failures and assist in risk assessment and investigation needs.

• Assist with new test and measurement equipment introduction.

• Identify and support improvements to the site calibration system.

• Support internal and external audits as needed.

Maintenance:

• Work closely with the maintenance supervisor and facility manager to execute the organization’s annual maintenance plan.

• Communicate directly with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other projects required to keep the company’s physical assets running smoothly.

• Monitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure tools are readily available for assigned tasks.

• Monitor use of PPE and other resources; recommend replacements when due.

• Monitor safety and health compliance.

• Support technicians during their daily equipment inspections and take care of maintenance logs.

• Provide a wide variety of administrative assistance to managers, especially in the areas of managing work orders and tenant communication.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High school diploma for general education degree (GED) required.

• 2+ years working in an ISO 13485 or IS 9001 certified environment required.

• 2+ years working with test and measurement experience required.

• 2+ years of calibration technician experience required.

• SAP or electronic gage tracking system experience preferred.

• Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and occupational safety principles.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to organize and prioritize in a highly dynamic production environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).

• Experience in leading and motivating teams, particularly in safety committees or emergency response groups.
