General Electric T901 Systems Lead Engineer in Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

The Lead Engineer – Systems Engineering demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the T901 Engine. In this role, you will utilize your experience and/or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and long-term business goals. The Lead Engineer in Systems Engineering is a cross-functional role focused on robust processes, system optimization, and design implementation that consider both the business and technical needs to provide a quality product that meets customer needs.

Job Description

Essentia Responsibilities

  • Supports engine system design including product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down. Facilitates validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including support of system level testing and coordination across the broad engineering team

  • Responsible for technical performance measure coordination, and supports engine-level TPM reporting with action plans focused on weight and affordability (engine cost)

  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

  • Participate on internal and customer teams as needed to support engine system design, test, and integration

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering role
