Senior Strategy Leader – Rotorcraft and Turboprop Engines – SPB2

The Senior Strategy Leader is responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives. This role involves working closely with senior leadership to identify and implement strategies that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance competitive positioning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with the company's vision and goals. Set strategic goals in partnership with the General Manager that serve as a framework to guide strategic decisions for the organization.

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to shape strategic initiatives. Build consistent and repeatable processes to support the management of resource allocation and balance strategic investments.

  • Collaborate with senior executives to ensure alignment and support for strategic projects.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic projects, influencing when projects are misaligned with the long-term strategy, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Identify and recommend needed capabilities that are required to support the strategy.

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

  • Communicate strategic objectives into clearly defined outcomes. Communicate progress to stakeholders, including employees, investors, and board members.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in Marketing, Business Analytics, and Strategic Planning. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in strategic planning or business analytics.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of leading successful strategic initiatives and projects.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Superior communication and presentation skills. Able to present complex concepts in concise and actionable terms. Comfort presenting to senior level stakeholders, internal and external to the company.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and business analysis tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Strategy Consulting experience in the Aerospace industry, preferably with experience working in the Defense industry.

  • Experience operationalizing strategy by setting the organization’s operational cadence, establishing and driving KPI’s, evaluating performance and suggesting measures for improvement.
