SUMMARY: Oversees production and blow molding operations of the Company’s Ludlow facility. Supervises and directs all shift operating personnel. Assumes responsibility for all safety, health, and environmental issues concerning departmental operations. Oversees quality control of manufactured products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:

  • Manages the day-to-day production and blow molding operations, ensuring all machinery is maintained and workers are properly trained per standard procedures.

  • Performs typical maintenance duties on production equipment, such as, but not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair of malfunctioning production equipment

  • Replace defective components

  • Perform line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs.

  • Inspects all company products to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Participates in conducting weekly/monthly/yearly inventories.

  • Advises Production Manager on in-house inventories of required raw materials in timely manner to assure their availability to production.

  • Suggests changes in working methods and use of equipment to increase the department’s efficiency.

  • Partners with QA department in ensuring conformance of all production items to company specifications.

  • Notifies Production Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager of any manufacturing problems, as well as analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.

  • Maintains records of shift performance, equipment output and weekly production data.

  • Maintains and enforces all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.

  • Position is considered safety sensitive and will be subject to random drug testing as a condition of employment.

  • Performs accurate employee performance evaluations.

  • Assists in emergency or HAZMAT operations.

  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS):

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in automated filling and/or blow molding operations

  • Excellent mechanical skills

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Proficient computer skills
