The Consumables Cleanroom Team Lead is a hands-on role that will provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to a group of individuals to achieve the group's performance and results. Responsible for monitoring the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team and reports results to the Production Supervisor on the cleanroom performance. As a member, this role will work within the team, carrying out the same roles but with the additional 'leader' responsibilities. The team leader is responsible for motivating the team to use their knowledge and skills to achieve the shared goals. This position is also someone who can drive performance within a group of people.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the cleanroom team of full-time and temporary production employees.
Lead by example and become a role model for others to follow.
Works safely and enforces safety procedures and culture.
Maintains compliance with cGMP, ISO, QMS, and other pertinent regulations and directives.
Demonstrates leadership (consistently); operates with the highest level of ethics and self-accountability.
Facilitate and assists in team break schedules and daily tasks.
Ability to direct the workflow of a manufacturing team.
Ensures daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Reports out team's outcomes and conducts corrective action processes to improve any inefficiencies.
Works with new team members to train and complete all training requirements necessary.
Responsible for production data entry and reporting out.
Ability to coach and motivate employees, work hands-on, and explain quality concerns, daily tasks, and corrective actions.
Support occasional weekend overtime.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior cleanroom manufacturing industry experience is a big plus.
At least 1 year of previous manufacturing direct experience as a group lead.
Proficiency with project management and team leadership.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, etc.)
Proficient in Problem Solving/ Conflict Resolution/ Decision Making.
Ability to use problem-solving tools.
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Effective time management.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be a self-motivated individual; displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment.
Ability to multi-task and support multiple production shifts.
Must be able to communicate in English with others related to daily operations.
Good problem solving, math skills, and the ability to do mathematical conversions (Metric to English).
Good mechanical aptitude and skills.
UNIQUE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
Medical device or heavily regulated industry experience preferred.
Cleanroom experience preferred.
Experience with high-volume automated equipment and systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to read and write English.
Appropriate gowning procedures will be required (hairnet, safety glasses, cleanroom apparel/lab coats, gloves).
Occasional environmental odors may be present.
May be required to work extended hours and weekends.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass gowning qualification.
Close visual acuity to work on a computer and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
