Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Engineer II, you will be involved with the development and modification of all new and existing automated test stations. You will work with a cross functional team of Engineers, Product Line Managers and Engineering Assistants for the production test support all product lines. The Test Engineer's role consists of writing and maintaining test software as well as designing, upgrading and building test fixtures and interfaces. The candidate will also evaluate, select, and order equipment and software that are most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.

The Senior Test Engineer II will be responsible for the following:

  • Support development of new test stations into production

  • Develop code

  • Select equipment

  • Design required interfaces

  • Support existing test stations in production

  • Modify test code as required

  • Debug issues as they arise

  • Maintain Software revision control

  • Create and maintain all documentation related to Test Stations

Requirements

Required

  • A minimum of a BSEE or BSCS 7 years of experience, or minimum 15 years of work related experience

  • Experience in LabWindows/CVI, C Programming, MS Visual Studio, .NET, Visual Basic

  • Working Knowledge of electronics as well as good mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to layout electrical circuits and schematics

  • Experience operating and programming RF/MW and DC test equipment

  • Strong failure analysis techniques

  • Efficient at multitasking, problem solving, and troubleshooting

  • Experience using MS Office tools, AutoCAD, and related design and layout software

  • Must interface with all departments, vendors, and equipment manufacturers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare and present technical data and report on engineering concepts to team members

Desirable

  • Linux experience

  • Protocols: GPIB, USB, Ethernet

  • Understanding of IP Configuration and Routing

  • PuTTY, VNC, Remote Desktop

  • Git (for Windows and Linux)
