21 Lowell Professonal Center Property Maintenance Technician in Lowell, Massachusetts

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to keep the property in excellent condition. A background in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems is essential. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections of properties and identify areas needing repair or improvement. Carry out minor repairs including plumbing (e.g., leaky faucets, clogged drains), electrical (e.g., changing light fixtures, repairing outlets), and carpentry (e.g., patching drywall, fixing doors and windows). Maintain and repair HVAC systems by troubleshooting and conducting basic repairs. Ensure common areas (hallways, lobbies, etc.) are clean, safe, and in good repair. Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning and servicing equipment as needed. Maintaining the grounds around the property and landscaping Cleaning the common areas and stairwells Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property management. Supervise and coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required in concurrence and coordination with Property Manager Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for repairs and upkeep. Seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and exterior maintenance. Keep accurate maintenance records, including reports on repairs, costs, and work completed. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems is a plus. Proven experience in property maintenance or a similar role. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor property issues. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills for interacting with tenants, property managers, and contractors. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand, climb ladders, and perform manual labor. Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with commercial properties or multi-unit residential buildings. Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
