Maintenance Support Clerk Maintenance Support Clerk $20-$22hr Temp to Perm Lowell, MA 1st shift - 7:30am-3:30pm Reports to: Maintenance Manager The Maintenance Support Clerk job is to anticipate and eliminate potential delays by ordering and tracking maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. RESPONSIBILITIES The Maintenance Support Clerk is responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities: ? Handle ordering for maintenance department and maintain vendor relations. Performs clerical and bookkeeping duties for the Maintenance Department. ? Compiles data from vendor invoices and supporting documents to verify accuracy of billing data and to ensure receipt of items ordered, using calculator and computer. Compares invoices against purchase orders and shipping and receiving documents to verify receipt of items ordered. ? Collect and convert all maintenance paperwork to electronic database (hot work permits, etc.). ? Requisition services and materials for planned work, project, stock items. ? Reserve stock items, add to inventory, maintain paperwork for planned work. ? Maintain Inventory room, spare parts inventory. ? Contact vendors to obtain quotation or pricing estimates to required maintenance work orders. ? Inform Maintenance Manager of abnormal or critical situations. ? Identify and develop standard work routines and task lists. ? Share common work planning with Production Planner, Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager. ? Support Maintenance Technicians during repair period (Travel if needed to vendor or supplier) along with other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager. PERFORMANCE MEASURES The following key performance indicators (KPIs) allow the Maintenance Support Clerk to monitor and evaluate his/her performance: ? Review of Work Order Log to ensure proper parts are ordered for work order completion ? Accuracy and proper organization of Inventory (continuation in stock and spare part items) ? Accuracy of Purchase Order entry and Order Receiving QUALIFICATIONS ? 1- 3 years of similar maintenance experience ? the ability to interpret and use the following (to develop job plans): piping and instrumentation diagrams equipment drawings predictive maintenance reporting and planning hydraulic and electrical schematics Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Additional JD Edwards skills (preferable, but not mandatory.) Must demonstrate capability to efficiently communicate and interact with vendors and suppliers. Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation. Must be able to utilize Computer, Copier, Scanner and Printer. Pay attention to detail to ensure count accuracy and on time delivery.
