Job Description:


Reporting to GAF’s StreetBond business unit Customer Success Leader, the Customer Success Representative (CSR) is a performance-focused market development and sales support role with front-line customer engagement opportunities. As such, s/he will provide disciplined, process-driven customer (specifically contractor) brand/product awareness and sales results to maintain and grow the StreetBond operating unit.


Business Development & Growth Innovation

  • Working closely with both Sales, Marketing, and Programs teams to drive outreach to contractors to enhance our brand and product awareness

  • Working closely with the Programs team to define and improve upon contractor initiatives that enable customer loyalty, education, and training

  • Drive contractor-focused sales & marketing efforts through identification, assessment, and professional outreach to potential customers within a targeted region

  • Support efforts to create and deploy a customer relationship management (CRM) infrastructure to aid internal communication and strategically develop contractor relationships

  • Be accountable for meeting business objectives regarding contractor demand generation that translates to revenue growth

  • Support team members in developing a positive, sustainable, and success-based culture within the business development area

  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to collate feedback from customers and identify opportunities to improve upon and build new solutions--either material or equipment

  • EXPERIENCE as a business development professional with CRM familiarity or expertise and targeted customer outreach/development

  • INFLUENCE with potential customers through mastery of our product line specifications and use cases, particularly where those factors are relevant to contractors’ and installers’ purchasing decisions

  • BREADTH in dealing with diverse customer bases on their own terms

  • FLEXIBILITY in thinking at a high-level while digging into the details

  • PROACTIVENESS is identifying and addressing business needs that match customer expectations


Required Qualifications

  • Background in the building contractor/installer industry, or other building materials-adjacent sectors

  • 3+ year’s sales experience, building materials experience preferred

  • Professional/expert-level skills in the areas of communication, and customer relationship building

  • Some experience with modern sales and marketing approaches (including typical tools, e.g., Salesforce) or demonstrated ability to learn quickly and completely

  • Deftness in identifying potential customer needs that are best addressed through our innovative products and services, and creativity in finding channels to drive awareness of, and demand for, those products

  • Ability to develop, communicate, and persuade stakeholders even in the face of extreme skepticism, risk, and uncertainty

Travel Requirements: Partner with Account Executives, <50% travel expected
