Actalent Autocad Designer in Littleton, Massachusetts

Job Description CAD Designer (AutoCAD)


· Work closely with Designers and Engineers to ensure coordination design effort is maintained.

· Develop 2D drawings from Engineering redlined documents and finalize AutoCAD models.

· Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.

· Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.

· Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Requirements:

· 5+ years AutoCAD experience with version 2015 or higher

· Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software

  • Ability to modify user interface and software settings

  • Create complicated multi-view layouts

  • Ability to efficiently organize model space

  • Ability to work in 2D and 3D model spaces

  • Import design data from a variety of file formats (DWG, DXF, PDF, DOC, JPEG, etc.)

  • Create and modify drawing template files

  • Advance layer management

· Proficiency with advance AutoCAD features such as

  • dynamic blocks

  • datalink definitions

· Experience with cable assembly drawings required

· Experience with IPC/WHMA-A 620 Cable and Harness Assembly standards preferred

· Military connector experience preferred

· Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software (Windchill Preferred)

· Experience with design review process

· Experience with document redline management

· Good communication skills.
