MIT Lincoln Laboratory Technical Staff Member - Laser and Electro-Optic Systems in Lexington, Massachusetts
The Laser Technology and Applications Group seeks an individual to lead development of laser and electro-optic systems. Applications of these systems include directed energy, lidar, science, sensing, and other applications that impact national security. The candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in various aspects of the design, construction, testing, characterization, and analysis of optical systems. Additional responsibilities include developing proposals, project planning, briefing sponsors, and report writing.
MS with at least two years experience as individual contributor in desired field or PhD in engineering or physical science. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: laser physics, adaptive optics, or electro-optical system development. Proficient laboratory and analytical skills, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a team are all essential.
