Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer in Lexington, Massachusetts
Odyssey Systems is currently looking for a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer who will support the Integrated Missile Defense Technology Group, at our customer's facility in Lexington, MA.
This Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the nation’s missile defense system. This system is currently being developed, to defend the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks. This Group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are building the missile defense elements and components.
The Group has a need for a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to support the analysis of future system requirements. The engineer will manage, develop, update and run system models and simulation tools to evaluate missile defense system performance and support algorithm development.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.
Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems.
Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.
Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures.
Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.
May build and design training models.
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education: Master's Degree
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience
At least five (5) years of professional experience
3+ year(s) of experience using MATLAB.
1+ years of experience with Python.
3 + years experience in modeling and simulation and 5 years of software development experience.
3 years experience using version control software (GIT, SVN).
Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems 3 years.
Ability to work well independently as well as with a team.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Experience or background in RF analysis is highly desired.
Standard signal processing techniques (Fourier transforms, filters, etc) is desired.
This position can be a hybrid role but the candidate must be within a commutable distance of client's Lexington, MA facility. Estimated to be 80% onsite and 20% remote.
Possible travel for field tests.

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
