About the role :
As the QC Microbiology Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily oversight for the QC Microbiology lab operations to support routine operations, method transfer, validation and method lifecycle activities at MA Bio Ops. The lab operations team is accountable for the on time delivery of results that support in process, release and stability testing activities. The shift for this role is 1st shift Sunday – Thursday. This is an on site position that reports to the Associate Director of Quality Control.
How you will contribute :
Management of daily/weekly/monthly activities of staff and operational oversight of group, data review, schedule, and training.
Oversee multiple QC Analysts and direct management of individuals, including goal setting, performance feedback, skills development and mentoring.
Techniques such as bioburden, endotoxin testing, growth promotion, biological indicators, TOC, conductivity, microbial identification and plate reading.
Guide compliance with cGMPSs and SOPs and ensure that all activities are performed by procedure.
You will gain access to important lab systems (LIMS, MODA, Maximo, Kneat, Trackwise) to support critical laboratory activities.
Perform data review to ensure completed testing results are provided to customers on time and in full.
Quality System support and oversight of group metrics.
Involvement in multiple departmental and cross-functional teams and projects, inspection, and regulatory support.
What you bring to Takeda :
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant QC experience.
Expertise in microbiological requirements related to cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Important Considerations :
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:
Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
Work in a cold, wet environment.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours,.
Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
Repetitive bending an reaching to sup and break down equipment (if required by specific activity)
Ability to walk and stand for periods of time.
Travel between MA sites may be required.
