Job Title: Stock Clerk
MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) chartered to develop advanced technology in support of national security. Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration. These efforts are aligned within key mission areas, including air and missile defense; space control; homeland protection and tactical systems; biological-chemical defense; communication and information technology; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and technology; and advanced electronics technology. The Laboratory works with government and industry to transition new concepts, technology and prototypes into future system development and deployment.
Job Description:
Responsibilities include receiving and issuing materials in multiple stockrooms and processing deliveries in Shipping and Receiving. Will receive stockroom materials to include the data entry of goods receipts into SAP, verification of packing slips, and inspection of materials for quality and quantity. Will restock shelves and perform housekeeping as needed. Will fill orders received electronically and over the counter. Will perform data entry of stock withdrawal slips and keep records of all withdrawals. Will unload delivery trucks, process goods receipts in SAP, and deliver items to the final recipient. Requires light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. Will operate pallet jacks and must be physically able to move pallets weighing several hundred pounds. Extensive walking to deliver items in multiple buildings is involved in this position. Successful candidate must be willing to work in a team environment, be detail orientated, and possess good communication and customer service skills. Will be required to fill in for other stock clerks as needed. Candidate will be required to wear work clothes as provided by the Department. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be physically able to lift heavy items
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and experience using pallet jacks, power jacks, electric carts, and other material handling equipment required
Experience with SAP desirable
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required
US citizenship required
