MIT Lincoln Laboratory RF / Analog Design Engineer (Associate Staff) in Lexington, Massachusetts
The Strategic and Long-Range Communications Group develops new system concepts and techniques to support the US Government’s most critical communications needs. The Group specializes in RF communications in multi-domain applications (ground, sea, air, and space) for global assured connectivity in the presence of adversary interference and interception threats. The Group leverages its expertise in communications system analysis, digital signal processing, RF technology, rapid prototyping, and field experimentation to research, develop, characterize, and demonstrate new capabilities.
Job Description:
The Group is seeking creative and enthusiastic candidates to model, design, measure, and integrate analog RF circuits, antennas, and systems in support of prototyping and field exercise activities.
Required Skills:
Experience with specifying, designing, modelling, and measuring the performance of analog RF systems using typical RF components including filters, power dividers, couplers, oscillators, low-noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, and antennas
Experience with lab-based, analog signal measurement tools including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and Signal Generators.
Experience with RF and Analog simulation tools
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and set priorities
Strong problem-solving skills
M.S. or B.S. degree with 5 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
Desired Skills:
Experience with RF wireless communications systems integration and test in laboratory and/or field environments
Demonstrated experience with RF receive and/or transmitter designs in HF frequencies (2-30 MHz) at kW class power levels
