Medical Communication Associate

Job Summary

  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience.

    • someone who has experience in a particular area like Hemophilia.
  • A possibility of domestic travel around 10%.

  • Microsoft suite experience - Intermediate.

  • Must have experience in the medical affairs space.

  • Willing to entertain remote workers.

  • Transition period with people leaving. Responsible of several aspects

  • primarily to craft to medical tactics, medical practice conferences. Creating field medical tools.

Job Responsibilities

Implement medical communication plans

  • Implementation of the medical communication plan for each disease area, including for example, medical materials (print and virtual), event support and disease state education.

  • Coordinate with other members of the TA team to identify and implement medical communications best practices

  • Interact with vendor partners supporting Global Medical Communications in the disease area

  • Support implementation of medical communication platform solutions, including, e.g.

  • Medical congress planning and delivery

  • Medical field force tools

  • Digital / multi-channel approaches

  • External materials review and management

Regulatory (CMLR) materials review process

  • Conduct day-to-day medical implementation of the Shire CMLR process for promotional materials and review process for non-promotional materials. Conduct medical review for one or more disease states / assets

  • Assist other members of Global Medical Communication team to ensure CMLR activities are completed efficiently

Education & Qualifications

  • A relevant healthcare degree is required. A medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred

  • Experience interacting with vendors and managing projects is preferred

  • General knowledge of medical communications approaches and best practices is required

  • Familiarity with regulatory and legal guidelines regarding medical communications strategy and execution

  • Creating digital documents.

  • SME to assist with commercial colleagues for review of commercial materials.

  • Promotional review of execution of medical meetings, congresses etc.

  • Looking for someone who is outgoing, a team player, great communication skills.

  • Similar roles that are being deployed to different therapeutic areas.

  • Trans verbal skill sets, Hematology and Hemophilia, Neurosciences some of the key areas.
