Position Overview

The Manufacturing Technician reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is an integral part of internal GMP clinical manufacturing team. This position offers opportunities to assist with the manufacturing and development of drug substance and bulk drug product processes for mRNA lipid nanoparticle drug candidates. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for hands-on execution of processes for drug substance and bulk drug product to support cGMP manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on execution of Clinical GMP manufacturing campaigns.

  • Effectively execute Master Batch Records and associated GMP documentation.

  • Assist in project activities for the technology transfer of new processes.

  • Offer technical support for manufacturing issues and assist in developing solutions to improve process efficiency and product quality.

  • Effectively communicate with cross functional teams including Quality Assurance Analytical Development, R&D, Process Development, Project Management as well as CMO staff.

  • Assist in the training of new associates and manufacturing technicians.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2-7 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company is required.

  • Experience working in a GMP or laboratory environment.

  • A working knowledge of Aseptic processing.

  • A solid understanding of Quality Systems.

  • Familiarity with cGMP and associated Quality Systems environment.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills on of processes for drug substance and bulk drug product to support cGMP manufacturing.
