Fresenius Medical Care North America IT Program Director in Lexington, Massachusetts

This is a remote position with east coast schedule strongly preferred

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Partner with senior leadership team in achieving strategic objectives by providing comprehensive planning, execution, and overall leadership of one or more complex and large-scale enterprise wide EHR initiatives. Duties also include proactively identifying and contributing to the evolution and continuous improvement of the FMCNA project management best practices, processes and tools, and providing next level mentorship to program teams.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Initiate programs by clearly defining program objective, scope, stakeholders and benefits

· Conduct detailed planning by creating EHR program structure and organization plan, and securing cross functional support

· Establish and ongoing upkeep of the program roadmap from concept to pilot to full enterprise roll out; Proactively identify and manage dependencies

· Facilitate the onboarding, business case development and prioritization of the projects into the EHR program under the guidance of the program governance

· Ensure alignment of project scope and schedule to meet program objectives

· Establish an efficient program communications plan, and tracking and reporting system; Manage program level reporting and communications up, down and across the program structure to include program level steering committee

· Directs ongoing reviews and assessments of the EHR program health including project status reviews at a regular cadence; proactively and aggressively manage program risks and implement effective mitigation plan; assist project managers in removing roadblocks

· Apply strategic thinking and use professional concepts in developing resolutions to critical issues

· Set standards and processes for the program and ensure all constituent projects' adherence

· Ensure legal and compliance considerations are fully accounted for in all the defined requirements

· Track and reports program benefit according to the business case

· Mentor and aid project managers and other program participants as applicable

· Oversees the development of the related business processes as well as technology solution from design through deployment

· Act as the main point of the contact for vendor(s) or external partner(s), responsible for vendor engagement and SOW

· Identify areas for process improvement and initiate improvements

· Comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations

· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

· PMI/PMP or PgMP Certification strongly desired

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

· 15+ years hands on experience in leading large and complex projects/programs in IT setting with 8+ years in complex program management

· 2+ years of hands-on agile practice is a plus

· Working experience in global setting desired

· Previous experience with EHR implementation

· Experience with application development life cycle methodologies

· Exceptional organizational and planning skills; ability to form a clear plan and path forward with a level of the unknown or ambiguity

· Excellent executive presence and communication skills across all levels of stakeholders

· Excel in conflict resolution, negotiation, and relationship management

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact

· Excellent grasp of current technologies in the healthcare industry

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail

· Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive collaborative discussions and decisions in a highly matrixed environment

· Must be proficient in the use of project management tools to develop schedules, allocate resources, and track progress

· Working knowledge of the HealthCare industry preferred

· Working knowledge of Agile project management framework preferred

· Lean Six Sigma experience and certification preferred
