Rapid Micro Biosystems Global Sr. Technical Field Trainer in Lexington, Massachusetts
The Global Sr. Technical Field Trainer is responsible for training Field Service Engineers and Validation Specialist in installing, executing validation and qualification tests, and maintaining Growth Direct systems to meet/exceed customer expectations. This position requires advanced technical training, problem-solving, and communications skills. Technical training experiences with medical devices within the Life Science and Biotech industry is preferred.
Deliver new hire training and continuing development training programs for field service and validation RMB engineers and specialists.
Support the timely and effective onboarding of newly hired field team members.
Partner with field operating, software, and microbiology leaders to develop training programs and assessments for new hire job readiness, existing employee skill enhancement, performance improvement, and career development, etc.
Work cross-functionally with new/existing employees and field leadership to evaluate training effectiveness, identify and incorporate continuous improvement opportunities
Assessing and reporting new hire competency development progress and on-the-job readiness.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with mechanical systems consisting of pneumatic and servo-controlled mechanisms.
Experience working directly on software-controlled instruments.
Demonstrated experience working in ISO or GMP-controlled environments in the life science field.
Acquired knowledge of computer networking.
Previous experience having worked as a field engineer and understanding of appropriate and professional customer handling are required.
Experience and competence in a range of microbiological methods
Knowledge of GxPs
Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11
Technical training skill
In-person, virtual and virtual reality classroom management
Adult learning and instructional design development experience
Training assessment and documentation
Excellent communications skills
People management experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and interpret scientifically written documentation, including organizational and instrument procedures, and those from the customer/regulatory agencies.
Expertise in decision-making as related to prioritizing schedule, making travel choices, and recognizing when to escalate issues to management.
Computer/Microsoft Office proficiency, especially in Outlook, Excel
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Technical degree or equivalent military experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of corporate or military training experience
50 % travel requirement between our training sites in Lowell, MA and Munich, Germany.
Must have a valid driver’s license and passport
