BAE Systems Engineer, SR. Manufacruring in Lexington, Massachusetts
Position requires a broad range of capability with focus on manufacturing processes associated with IR Device processing from wafer processing through packaged Focal Plane testing. Possessing a working understanding of Wafer Fabrication Technologies is desired.
The successful candidate will have capabilities and experience with aspects of IR Device Packaging processes including, Die Sectioning, Pick and Place, Auto Wire Bond and Vacuum Processing.
Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a solid understanding and background with Testing of packaged MEMS Devices. Responsibility for yields and product quality standards is required as well as knowledge of manufacturing database systems, Continuous Improvement and LEAN practices.
Six Sigma / Green Belt / Black Belt training is a positive.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Candidate must have experience and strength in at least one area of technology (EE / ME) Vacuum Technology and processing, IR Device Test / Software. Mechanical Design capability with experience with fixture / tooling design.
Strong computer skills with wide ranging applications is required. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve production line problems is required.
Experience with Device Packaging process equipment is required. The ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment / process problems is required. Typical processing equipment will include; Reflow Ovens, Bench Welders, Vacuum Equipment, Pick and Place, Wire Bonding and Auto Test Stations including ESS Chambers.
Preferred Skills and Education
Background and experience with MEMS Packaging techniques and processes and / or IR Device testing experience including ESS Testing methods.
