The Air Traffic Control Systems Group (Group 43) is seeking a Business Manager to oversee the operational needs of the group. The group has a diverse set of programs in areas including weather sensing and forecasting, air traffic control, advanced air mobility, commercial space operations, aviation cyber security and military logistics. Roles and responsibilities focus upon the management of the Group’s financial portfolio and administrative operations. Responsibilities include: development, analysis, monitoring and reporting on program plans, spend plans, and financial reports for both DoD and non-DoD sponsors, including off contract and internally funded programs. The candidate must excel at teaming with and directing the actions of support staff, such as an Assistant Business Manager, Group Administrative Assistants, and counterparts within partner groups.
The Business Manager must act as the focal point for cost estimating/proposal preparation and new program packages, anticipated funding updates, authorization of budget expenditures and status of program/group financial health. A particular emphasis must be placed upon financial analysis (cost, performance, discrepancies, schedule, trends, etc.), ceiling management and program execution. The candidate will oversee monthly sponsor and other financial reporting requirements, including a variety of roll-up reporting for both the Group and Division Offices. The candidate will serve as the front-line contact to sponsors for financial matters. Responsibilities also include oversight of the administrative team’s processing of shopping carts, to include contingent worker procurements, special projects, and other miscellaneous financial and operational activities to support the Group. The candidate will also help to oversee the Group’s space coordination.
8+ years applicable experience beyond degree is required.
BS in finance or related field is required, MS/MBA preferred.
Competence with business/financial systems and computer-based financial management tools.
Experience with Microsoft Office with proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
Familiarity with SAP desired.
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, and organizational skills.
