We are looking for an energetic and hands on Plant Manager/Vice President of Manufacturing to play an integral role in helping us to dominate the solar sign market through spearheading the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. The successful candidate must be able to create a culture of operational excellence in an environment of constant change. Learn more about OptoGlo by visiting Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee manufacturing to meet Company targets relating to output, quality, on-time delivery, cost control, safety, and other key performance indicators Monitor and drive-up manufacturing capacity, keeping ahead of sales forecasts Drive reductions in direct and indirect costs to improve profitability Ensure production facilities are well maintained, neat, and organized Identify, recommend, and implement new procedures, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline manufacturing processes and the use of resources and materials Continuously identify and mitigate key structural risks and single points of failure in the supply chain that may impact or limit product shipments or revenue growth Build a performance culture to ensure that all employees are accountable, have clear goals and objectives, and their performance is regularly reviewed and managed Promote a culture of LEAN to eliminate waste and improve efficiency and productivity Promote, communicate, and enforce the Company?s Safety culture, programs, and policies Continuously reinforce the Company?s core values, leading by example Qualifications: Bachelor?s dress in Business, Engineering, or a related field or its equivalency in experience and/or training A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment, with 7 or more successful years in a leadership position. Experience in a startup strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products Strong business acumen: an understanding of the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and revenue goals Proven track record of building scalable systems that drive down costs An effective leader capable of forming a world class organization Energetic with the ability to work the hours necessary for success in the position Lastly, the ability to maintain perspective in working with others by always seeking to contribute to a positive working environment based upon the respect of others
