The Line Lead?s primary role is to lead and direct their assigned team to meet production and operational requirements. To accomplish this they must communicate for understanding of all team member assignments and responsibilities. The line Lead has overall responsibility for the operational productivity, quality and efficiency for their respective line. DUTIES Direct supervision of 4-25 assigned line employees Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are understood by assigned team, with full compliance Investigate and communicate equipment issues or line maintenance needs Inspect line equipment at start-up or shift start with updates as needed throughout the shift. Initiate productivity improvement and communicate opportunities and results to shift supervisor Assign team members to line positions optimizing personal capabilities with cross training rotational opportunities Provide induvial training of new tam roles as needed for new hires or transfer assignments Counsel team member and document performance issues as needed, with follow up communication with supervisor Train new personnel to perform Line Lead production tasks and understand role and responsibility for the position Review customer product and packaging specification to ensure product build is correct Follow up with Quality Technician to ensure all customer quality requirement are met Maintain Accountability/ Dump Log for assigned line. Ensure each pallet and code date used is properly recorded Maintain downtime reporting record for Line/Shift, documenting per requirements with shift record to Maintenance team Change flexible packaging as required to maintain production levels Verify Code date and Best Before at the start of each shift to assure conformance to customer specification Provide production and yield performance for assigned Line as required to Shift Supervisor at shift end Directly Supervise 4-25 production line workers Reposting directly to shift supervisor Requirements A minimum of 1-3 years? experience in a manufacturing/production environment At least 1 year of that experience in managing or directing team activities or the direct supervision of people Good oral and written communication skills Basic math skills Ability to ed and write English to ensure proper interpretation of customer specification and requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1-3 years in a manufacturing or production environment Strong communication skills, both written and oral Training skills to train basic line tasks and train new personnel for Line Lead Position Bending and reaching, stooping and/or crouching Standing for 8 or more hours per shift Pushing and/or pulling heavy equipment Lifting up to 50lbs. as needed Use of a manual hand jack Writing/completing multiple documents This is a partial job description: Please contact our recruiters for more details.
