Job Purpose
We are seeking an energy markets expert to help us maximize value from the solar and energy storage projects we develop. This position on our energy solutions team will interface with the business development, project development, services, regulatory, and finance teams. By unlocking the full potential value from our assets, you will help drive more energy storage and solar onto the grid faster.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop revenue forecasts for energy storage projects, including ConnectedSolutions, Clean Peak, demand charge management, capacity, demand response, clipping recapture, and others that may arise, currently all in ISO-NE.
Maintain standard energy storage revenue forecasts for preliminary financial model.
Analyze third-party energy storage revenue/savings estimates.
Manage relationships with energy management software vendors.
Compare actuals to estimates on operating storage projects.
Resolve monthly shared savings bills.
Develop strategy for maximizing capacity revenue on all solar and storage assets.
Forecast electricity rates and keep business development team informed of developments and market dynamics in the electricity market.
Desired Skills & Experience
Solid understanding of ISO-NE wholesale markets
Expertise, or ability to quickly develop expertise, with storage incentives such as ConnectedSolutions and the Clean Peak Program in MA, and active dispatch in CT
Ability to analyze customer demand charges and model savings opportunities
Strong analytical skills
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
4-yr bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in a related energy field
Comfortable analyzing with large datasets
Strong communication skills
Able to excel in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Asset Management a plus
