What you’ll achieve

In this position you will help develop leading edge hardware solutions to be integrated into common platform designs. Opportunities exist to develop creative solutions and debug complex problems. Technologies include processors, high speed serial storage interfaces, protocol ASICs, FPGAs, logic, power circuits and high speed PCB layout. You will be exposed to all aspects of systems engineering working closely with firmware, mechanical, power and thermal engineers. In this role, you will work in a fast paced environment with a team of highly skilled Engineers to provide you both guidance and mentorship.

You will:

Develop technical project requirements, including cost, performance, reliability, and quality.

Lead physical design of circuit board through all design phases

Track and resolve technical issues and requests for information

Participate in cross-functional design reviews

Collaborate with organizations throughout EMC to facilitate product integration, delivery and support.

Support manufacturing qualification process to ensure delivery of a high quality product.

Develop test scripts to increase group efficiency

Coordinate with IO Protocol solution vendors on technical requirements of current and future design projects

Essential Requirements

BSEE or BSECE is required

Excellent fundamentals in electrical engineering

Prior experience in the design, debug, and qualification of board level hardware

Excellent communication and technical skills

Ability to learn new designs quickly and independently

Ability to work well both alone or in small teams

Desirable Requirements

1-2 years experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

High speed design experience (> 1Gbs) a plus

Experience with various I/O protocols, such as PCIe, SAS, SATA and Ethernet a plus

Direct experience with x86 or ARM computer architectures and chipsets is a plus

Knowledge of server and storage systems, particularly RAID systems is a plus
