GREENFIELD Production Planner Summary: The Production Planner will support the Production Planning team by playing a key role in the progression of orders from the quote stage through manufacturing. The position will also solve manufacturing problems to aid in the production of quality products while fulfilling the need for costeffective, on-time delivery. They will actively identify and implement process improvements within the Production Planning department and take part in projects that support improvements around the company. Duties and Responsibilities: Release work orders to manufacturing based on shop workloads across similarly capable machines. Contribute to the resolution of nonconforming products via the development of manufacturing repair plans, attending Material Review Board meetings, and assisting in root-cause analysis. Track (and in some cases, expedite) orders within manufacturing to meet the delivery needs of the customer. Quote manufacturing lead times based on shop-loading and available inventory. Communicate order statuses and relevant manufacturing details to customer service personnel. Identify and resolve bottlenecks throughout the manufacturing process, including in CNC machine cells, a Foundry, and external venders. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase the productivity of the department. Complete other relevant tasks as assigned. Interpersonal Skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work as a team-member. Ability to solve problems methodically, with an understanding of root-cause analysis and the ability to create metric-driven results. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at once. Strong organizational skills Technical Skills Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) preferred. Experience with Microsoft office, including Excel. Analytical skills with the ability to understand numbers-based reports and data.
