An Inspector is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Gloucester, MA area. This position will conduct thorough inspections of products throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with design data requirements and specifications, utilizing basic inspection methods and tools.

salary: $25.55 - 34.33 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Inspect products (parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, instruments, etc.) at predetermined steps in the manufacturing process.

• Validate compliance to design data requirements including drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

• Utilize basic inspection methods and tools.

• Inspect a variety of parts using measuring/inspection instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers, employing proper techniques.

• Read, interpret, and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation.

• Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection, and 1st article approval of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.

• Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks.

Skills:

• Proficiency in thread gauges.

• Micro-hite, drop indicators.

• Surface indicators.

• Visual inspection, and blue print reading and comprehension.
