GILL Athletic Facilities and Equipment Assistant Regular Full-Time Mount Hermon, MA, US Requisition ID: 1029 Salary Range: \$17.50 To \$20.00 Hourly The Athletic Facilities and Equipment Assistant is responsible for providing customer service and support for daily operations, including equipment management, basic vehicle maintenance, and support for all individuals, teams, events, and/or programs using the school\'s athletic facilities. The Athletics Operations staff is part of a collaborative team that provides support for athletics and other school-related events. Members of this team engage in inventory management assistance, outdoor and indoor facility preparation and upkeep, cleaning and preventive maintenance, and other related tasks. A Day in the Life: The Athletics- Facilities and Equipment Assistant is integral to the seamless operation of our sports facilities and teams. This individual manages the setup and breakdown of venues for events and practices, ensuring that all facilities are ready from opening to closing. They oversee the maintenance and cleaning of 14-passenger activity vehicles, keeping them in top condition for team use. This person is also responsible for the transport and upkeep of rowing launches during the fall and spring seasons and supports other unique rowing programs. Throughout the day, they address general maintenance tasks and perform cleaning duties within athletic facilities. In the equipment room, they handle the distribution and return of uniforms and gear, inspect and repair equipment as needed, and assist with inventory management and the seasonal transition. Adhering to safety protocols and providing operational support, they contribute to the smooth functioning of the athletic department while fostering an environment that supports the department?s commitment to excellence and teamwork. Required Skills and Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. Be punctual and communicate absences in a timely manner. Efficient and constructive communication skills. Competent proficiency with computer software and reasonable ability to learn google suites. Able to understand and follow standard operating procedures. Valid driver?s license and eligible to be DOT certified in order to drive school vehicles. Ability to operate a variety of motorized vehicles. Willing to be CPR trained and certified as part of onboarding. Ability to move for long periods of time, perform various repetitive movements, and move up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred High School Degree or equivalent This is an onsite position. Overtime may be required. Nights and weekends may be required. May be required to cover call-ins. Schedule will be flexible and based on the needs of the athletic department schedule. This is a full time, academic year position.
